We are a practical training centre that focuses strongly on employment
skilled training in the following fields: Boilermaking, Rigging, Pipe-Fitting, Welding,
CNC Programming, Plumbing, Electrical & Airconditioning / Refrigerating.
We equip the students with essential skills in a workshop environment over
a period of 15 days, or shorter which means that the students will be
competent to start work immediately after completing the course.
Our students will be an asset to the company in the sense that they already
have the necessary basic training to be productive from day one.
HOW DO I GET TO THE TRAINING CENTRE?
Please take the road to Kempton Park's police station (Monument Road). Across from the Police Station is Mcdonalds. The street between the Police Station and Mcdonalds is Maxwell Street (We are no. 43B on Maxwell Street). We are also very close to the O.R. Thambo airport. WHAT IS A BOILERMAKER?
A boilermaker is a person that fabricates items out of steel (eg. pressure vessels, walk ways, beams and tanks, etc.) in short you work with steel.
WHAT DOES THE BOILERMAKER COURSE ENTAIL?
Safety, hand tools, power tools, grinding, cutting torch, identifying and marking of materials, engineering drawings, pipe/plate developing and shield metal arc welding.
WHAT QUALIFICATIONS DO I NEED TO QUALIFY FOR ENROLMENT?
No formal experience is needed, all our courses are practical.
WHAT IS THE DURATION OF A COURSE?
We are offering short courses varying from 2 up to 20 days.
CAN I FAIL?
No, all our courses are practical.
HOW MANY YEAR'S EXPERIENCE DO I NEED TO QUALIFY FOR A TRADE TEST?
You need four years working experience before you can qualify to apply for your trade test.
WHAT ARE THE PAYMENT OPTIONS?
The money must be paid in full before you can start with your course.
DO YOU PLACE THE STUDENTS IN JOBS AFTER THE TRAINING?
After the training you will receive a certificate as proof for completing the course. We will also update your CV, and our labour brokers will assist students with job placements.
WHAT IS CNC PROGRAMMING?
CNC stands for Computer Numerical Control. It is turning work that is done from technical drawings programmed onto a computer attached to the machine, as opposed to a conventional turning centre that is operated by hand.
THE ELECTRICAL COURSE - IS IT FOR LOW OR HIGH CURRENT?
Training is done for 220 and 380 voltage.
DO YOU HAVE WIREMAN LICENCE?
No, we currently do not have a wiremen licence
HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN OPERATING?
EASTC has been operating since 1999.
WHAT CAN I LEARN IN SUCH A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME?
We equip you with essential skills in a workshop environment over a short period of time. Once you have completed your course you will be competent in your field and able start working.
WHAT IS RIGGING?
Lifting steel with slings and cranes, and fitting steel with chain blocks and block tackles.
WHAT KIND OF MACHINES DO YOU USE FOR CNC?
The Fanuc Machine.
DO YOU HAVE PART TIME CLASSES?
Yes, we do offer part-time classes.
